There will be no monthly meeting in July due to numerous activities and the Holiday. The next meeting will be Wednesday August 7th, 2013 at 5PM at the Library at 7PM in the Riverview Room. We will discuss lessons learned from the July Pet show and book sale and future events. Another monthly meeting is set for September 4th, in the Library at 7PM in the Riverview Room.

The May sale went quite well and we made $1308. While the final figure for the Rotary Auction has not been tabulated it looks like as a partner we will get $6,000. Thank you Rotary Members for allowing us to partner with you for this great fundraiser. On Saturday Morning the Library will host the annual Pet show. Friends will be on hand to help with the show, hand out refreshments and sell books on pets. The next book sale will be in July. We will set up during the afternoon of Thurday July 25th and hold the sale Thurday July 25th from 4PM to 7PM, then Friday July 26th, From 9AM-5PM and Saturday July 27th, from 8AM-1PM, followed by Clean-up.

The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library are community members working on behalf of the library to raise funds and increase community involvement in the library.
Volunteers always have a splendid time at the book sale. Thank You to all who participated in these events because through your participation we raise funding for the many programs not funded by the city. Volunteer slips for the Pet Show and Book Sale will be at the Library Circulation desk or get in touch with Melanie Zador.
