News

In Memory, we sadly note the passing away of Patricia Ramsdell Foster on February 2nd.    Pat was a past Director of the Library, she was a true "friend".   She always had a smile and was an ardent supporter of the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library.

NEW LIBRARY COOKBOOK  The New Library cookbook are for sale at the Library for $10.   Sale of the cookbook will benefit the Building expansion Fund. Contribute toward a good cause, acquire a good cookbook at a reasonable price, and try some new foods using recipes by the staff and the community of the Ellsworth Public Library.

BOOK SALE  The Saturday February 7th mini booksale on the main floor of the Library went well, with $205 raised.  We held another Mini Booksale  on Saturday  March 14th and it raised another $220 for the Friends.

We will have a full blown book sale  in the Riverview room of the Library Thursday April 30th, From 4PM-7PM, Friday May 1st, 9AM-4PM and Saturday May 2nd, 9AM-1PM.  As always Volunteers are needed for; setup on Thursday, during sale hours each day and for clean-up on Saturday, volunteer slips will be available at the circulation desk in the library.  New volunteers will be paired with experienced members to help make the new Volunteer experience pleasent, most shifts 4 hours or less.

Donations of books in good condition are always welcome; please just leave them at the Library during normal hours.

Totes!  We just got a new shipment of the Blue totes in and they are still $10, so please purchase one for yourself and remember they do make wonderful gifts.

Welcome Friends!

The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library are community members working on behalf of the library to raise funds and increase community involvement in the library.

Volunteer

Volunteers always have a splendid time at the book sale. Thank You to all who participated in these events because through your participation we raise funding for the many programs not funded by the city.  If you can volunteer but were not called please leave a name and phone number at the circulation desk or get it touch with Melanie Zador.

Program Schedule

The spring programming is diverse and a lot of fun for all to see.  Your donations made it happen.  For current programming please check our newsletter and the library web site/Facebook.
