OUR MISSION
is to demonstrate the social and technical significance of the telephone network from 1876 to the present, using working equipment to provide tangible, operable evidence of an evolving technology.
WE CELEBRATE
the inventiveness, craftsmanship, ingenuity and industry of the telecommunications community through educational programs, exhibits, and special events.

Tours: Guided tours are available.
The main museum building is handicapped accessible.

Directions:

From Bangor/Brewer area: Take Rt.1A south towards Ellsworth. Approx. 4 miles after passing The Lucerne Inn on right, watch for Telephone Museum sign on right. Make a (sharp) right hand turn onto the Winkumpaugh Road, opposite Annie’s Pride Farm Stand (seasonal). Pass the Hanson’s Landing Road on the left. The museum is in the second building on the left, about one mile from Rt.1A.

From Ellsworth: Take Rt. 1A (Bangor Road)  north towards Bangor/Brewer. The museum is approximately 10 miles from downtown Ellsworth. Look for sign on right; turn left onto the Winkumpaugh Road, opposite Annie’s Pride Farm Stand and proceed as
above.
