OUR MISSION
is to demonstrate the social and technical significance of the telephone network from 1876 to the present, using working equipment to provide tangible, operable evidence of an evolving technology.
WE CELEBRATE
the inventiveness, craftsmanship, ingenuity and industry of the telecommunications community through educational programs, exhibits, and special events.

What's New at The Telephone Museum?

Archival Area Work Project

The Telephone Museum has received a matching grant to complete construction of two historical records and artifact storage rooms and an archival workspace that have been partially constructed by volunteers. This spring we will purchase and install environment protection security doors to the two records rooms, and construct a second egress stairway from the archival area. We will also complete the walls and flooring for these rooms and construct a walkway from the bottom of the stairway to the driveway of the museum.

These improvements are part of the ongoing work at The Telephone Museum to preserve the historic collections for the future. Now we need YOUR volunteer help. We are focusing on April 9-20, including the weekend of April 14-15, for our first "work party" gathering to move this project along.

Our plans are ambitious and we are looking for people who wish to help. Please email Doug Arntzen at darntzen@verizon.net to let us know if you are available to volunteer.

Remember, this is a "matching grant", so if you can't join us in April, please consider a financial contribution to help this project along. Thanks!
