The Sullivan & Sorrento Historical Society
Welcome to our website! We hope you can visit us in person at some point, but for now please enjoy this virtual tour of the two towns of Sullivan and Sorrento in Maine. Our Historical Society is 33 years young and we have approximately 15,000 items archived. Here you can find information on local mining, ship building, genealogy and the summer colony. Did you know that Sorrento was originally part of Sullivan?
~ Volunteers and New Members Needed ~
Volunteers provide many of the needed services at the Sullivan - Sorrento Historical Society throughout the year. There are so many small things that our staff would never be able to accomplish without the help of volunteers and members who are willing to lend a hand. You can't afford not to preserve this history; our dues start at only $5.00. If you are interested in being a volunteer for a day or becoming a member, please call or email us. We would very much like to hear from you!
