Under the auspices of the newly developed EllsworthMe.Org, companion site to the hugely popular EllsworthMe.Com, Downeast.Host.Com offers free website storage and service to qualified non-profits.
"We have developed EllsworthMe.Com to stimulate the economic development of the downeast Maine area," notes DowneastHost.Com partner and system administrator Don McKillop. "EllsworthMe.Org is our way of extending the partnership between the real world and the world of 'cyberspace' known as the World Wide Web to the non-profit arena. - Civic and civil in nature (in the public interest, pertaining to the general public)
- Serve the people of the Hancock County area
- Located in the Hancock County area
- Keep organization's information/graphics under one (2) Megabytes (if more is needed, contact us).
- Can announce events and fundraisers, but can't sell merchandise/services or list prices
- Can't promote or advertise a for-profit organization
- Include "Web space donated by Downeast.Host.Com Home of EllsworthMe.Com" in your page design
Options for HTML Creation:
- Have someone capable of writing HTML volunteer to create your pages for you.
- Contract (pay) someone to create your pages for you
- Contract a company to create and maintain your page(s).
